Installing the disc is easy. No tools. No mechanic. Takes about ten minutes.
Step by Step
1. Start your car. The navigation unit needs power. Park somewhere safe.
2. Eject the old disc. Press the eject button on the nav unit. The old map DVD slides out. Keep it as a backup.
3. Insert the new disc. Slide the upgrade disc in, label side up. Push it gently until the unit pulls it in.
4. Wait for it to load. The system reads the new disc. This can take a few minutes the first time. Don't turn the car off while it loads.
5. Follow the screen prompts. The unit may ask you to confirm the update. Tap yes and let it finish.
6. Test it. Punch in a familiar address. Check that the route looks right and the maps show current roads.
